Procrastination is nothing but a game where your mind and you are involved in it. It means you get convinced with a logical reason from your mind, that why you should not do something right now, that is where you start postponing tasks.

The mind creates a filter where you can’t see the importance of completing that task.

How to stop procrastinating tasks?

  • Social commitment:

It means that you committing your goals, ideas, or projects in front of your friends or colleagues or on any social media. You committing to do something socially gives you the sense of more responsibility and social pressure to finish it on time.

  • Immediate urgency:

In immediate urgency, it means creating urgency to complete a task or removing logical reasons by creating immediate urgency. While creating urgency, it can either be a time urgency or social urgency.

  • No option-option strategy:

Where you do not listen to any excuses from your brain. That is where you can complete any work without giving any option of not doing it or without any excuses.

  • Strong WHY:

When we feel there is no meaning in the task that is where the highest chance of you procrastinating lies.

  • Big picture:

It means you create a big picture to do more with a bigger purpose, then that drives you to do and complete things.

  • Affirmation:

Doing affirmations means training your mind with positive thoughts or to communicate the right things. It means whenever your mind says I can’t do it, you say that I can do it or whenever it says I am fearful about it then you say that I act in spite of fear. The most dominant thoughts in your mind are the ones that create you.

  • Visualization:

Writing Direction for the day helps to structure your daily routines and to reach a particular destination or to complete some particular tasks. Visualization creates a “Mental Trajectory”

  • Accountability Buddy:

You need only one accountability partner who really believes in your goals and dreams. They support you, encourage you, when you achieve greater things, and kick you when you didn’t do your tasks. Having such a hug and kick accountability buddies will help you to achieve your tasks.
