What if I shared that you could have an awesome relationship with people around you?
Did you know that there are multiple types of relationships?
Yes, you read it right. There are 3 core types of relationships. But, do you agree the one major area in life, in which most people struggle and fail is “Love and Relationships”
What are these 3 types of relationships?
Relationship with self:
Have you ever criticized yourself? Have you ever said words to yourself, like lazy, dumb, weak, etc. which hurt you?
Relationship with self, is all about how you see yourself, or in simpler words, what is the image you have created about yourself? What is the level of self-esteem you are at, is it high or low? If these negative feelings or thoughts become dominant in our mind, that is when we get into Self-harm or suicide, feel worthless, useless. So, it is important to have a good relationship with yourself and talk more about your positives than what isn’t there.
Relationship with family:
Have you seen a lot of quarrels at home, for properties, for personal belongings, for not meeting each other’s expectations or dreams?
Have you ever felt that you are not understood in your family?
Fixing this type of relationship has become a necessity in today’s era where kids are separated from their parents, siblings are having a war over who gets more share of the property. If all the members of the family are aligned with the same dream and mission, great things are possible.
Relationship with the World:
Have you seen neighbours gossiping about each other? Have you seen people passing comments and judging each other?
Relationship with the world is all about having a good bonding and understanding with people who are around us. It could be your friends, neighbours, teachers, mentors, students, children etc. When we only think about “ME”, this is when we become selfish. Instead, we must build strong connections and have good relationships with our neighbours.
These are the 3 types of relationships that we must focus on improving. I understand sometimes there might be clashes and challenges. Do you agree? Sometimes it also feels impossible to solve these challenges?
